Research Focus

I currently work at the Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment (HIE), Western Sydney University. My research focuses mainly on the threats to species and ecosystems caused by the interplay between climate change and human impact. I am also interested in understanding how climate influences the presence, distribution, and survival of species. A fundamental aspect of my research is its applicability and how my findings can be used to target conservation actions and incorporate climate-change awareness into management and conservation practice. I am particularly interested in the effects of climate change on urban forests to plan for more resilient and liveable cities.
