Victoria A. Uyanga is a Nutritional Physiologist, One Health Ambassador, and Educationalist. She worked as an Associate Professor of Animal Nutrition and Physiology at Shandong Agricultural University, China, and is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Iowa State University, USA. Her research interests include poultry nutrition, gut health, stress physiology, immunomodulation, nutritional biochemistry, amino acid metabolism, and One Health techniques. She applies modern molecular biology skills and other research techniques to study the environmental and nutritional challenges affecting poultry production, thus contributing to Global Goal 2: Zero Hunger; Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, and Goal 13: Climate Action.
Victoria A. Uyanga is interested in community engagements, Sino-African relations and international collaborations that contribute to the animal production sector via research and development opportunities. She is passionate about multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary approaches towards problem-solving, thus her active engagement with various research teams including the Organization of African Academic Doctors (OAAD)-Agricultural Research Group, which is dedicated to finding evidence-based solutions for Africa’s challenges via scientific inquiry into various dimensions of Africa’s Agriculture.
